Details of the position:

  • Receptionist duties including answering phones, faxing, providing information, filling out client forms, follow up, scheduling and more.
  • Work with community members to determine the needs and most appropriate course of action in order to meet request or inquiry.
  • Attend necessary training and meetings.
  • Assist with fundraising opportunities and events.


The successful candidate will:

  • Have related experience/ education in working with individuals and families, community development and relations and designing/ delivering programming.
  • Have experience in working with a variety of sectors and non-profit organizations.
  • Have well developed written and verbal communications skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Provide a current Criminal Record Check and a CYIM Check.

  • Work with clients through supportive listening, action planning, informed referrals to appropriate services and follow up duties.
  • Plan, organize and deliver appropriate programming.
  • Collaborate with program and community partners to meet client needs.
  • Maintain thorough records.
  • Attend necessary training and meetings.


The successful candidate will:

  • Have related experience/ education, as well as familiarity with community/ client resources.
  • Have strong critical thinking and planning skills. 
  • Have experience in working with a variety of sectors and non-profit organizations.
  • Have well developed written and verbal communications skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills (especially active listening, compassion and empathy) and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Provide a current Criminal Record Check and a CYIM Check.

 

 PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO POSSESS RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE.
