We have designated staff who can help create a personalized plan, so that your concerns are addressed and needs/ goals can be met. This program helps with navigating systems and provides support that is kind, empathetic, consistent and is a revolving door for anyone accessing services.

Senior services are offered in partnership with the New Horizons For Seniors Program, a federal grant funding projects that make a difference in the lives of seniors and their communities.

There are many programs available to seniors through the government and various organizations.

This service allows users to feel safe on the go or at home. A medical alert system, worn to detect falls, will send help at the push of a button or by an auto alert.  For fees or to learn more, click here.

Wise Owls programs are designed to support seniors within their home, with a goal to assist clients to maintain a healthy & happy lifestyle.  Services include friendly visiting, menu planning & meal preparation, pet care, errand & social assistance, transportation, support liaison and home support.  Plans are individually tailored for each and every client.

 Subsidy is available through the Government of Alberta, Special Needs for Seniors program. 

*Wise Owls workers are screened by the RCMP and Child & Family Services.

 This program offers free income tax assistance, during March and April for seniors or low income tax returns.

    Alberta Health Services (AHS): AHS offers  mental health therapy and addictions counselling for children, adults and older adults.  

Services are offered daily, via virtual sessions. Available Monday - Friday, from 10AM - 12PM and 1PM - 2PM.     

Rapid Access Counselling (RAC): RAC provides you and your family with a supportive, change-focused conversation at the right time. RAC is real help, within the reach of every Albertan.

It is tailored to support caregivers and children with a focus on healthy child development, supporting caregiver capacity, and promoting resilience within the family.

Home Support services are now availble through the 

Wise Owls program. 

  Take a break from mealtime stress. Available to Alix and Area residents. Home-style meals are delivered up to three days a week at lunchtime. Hot and frozen options can be ordered. Meals are delivered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 

Fees: 

Hot Meal: $8.00/meal

Frozen Meal: $6.00/meal

Gift certificates can be purchased. Please contact us, for more details, monthly menus and to book a delivery.

*All volunteer delivery drivers are screened by the RCMP.  

     Volunteers support many of the programs and services offered at the Centre.

 Lacombe and District Family and Community Support Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to the strengthening and enhancing of family and community life. The Bethany Group, partnered with the Lacombe Foundation, offers subsidized apartment housing in Alix at the Lakeview Manor and in Mirror at Lamerton Place. The apartments are intended for seniors 65+, but those under 65 can rent based on need and when suites are available.
